Your trust,
honored.
We care deeply about the privacy of everyone who visits our site — especially survivors, their loved ones, and supporters. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Saving Grace Advocacy & Support (“Saving Grace,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing advocacy, support, and resources for survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. We operate this website as part of that mission.
2. Information we collect
We try to collect as little information as possible. The specific things we might see from you are:
- Information you choose to send us. If you email us, submit a contact form, or reach out about an event or volunteering opportunity, we receive whatever you choose to share — typically your name, email address, and message.
- Administrator accounts. A very small number of people on our team sign in to the private content area of this site to manage events, resources, and messages. For them, we store an email address and an encrypted password through our authentication provider.
- Essential cookies. We use a small set of cookies that are strictly necessary to keep a logged-in administrator signed in. These cookies are not used for analytics, advertising, or tracking, and most visitors will never have any of them set on their device.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records normal request information — IP address, browser type, URL requested, timestamp — for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to build profiles of visitors.
3. How we use it
We use the information we collect only to:
- Respond to your questions, requests, or messages.
- Coordinate and communicate about events, volunteer opportunities, and community partnerships.
- Securely administer the website.
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations as a nonprofit organization.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we never share it for advertising or marketing. We share information only with the small set of service providers that make the site work, and only as needed for them to do their part:
- Supabase — database and authentication provider that stores contact submissions, event records, and the administrator accounts for this site.
- Vercel— hosting and content delivery provider that serves the pages you're reading.
If you click an external link from our site — for example to PayPal, Venmo, Google Maps, or an email address — you leave our site and become subject to that service's own privacy policy. We encourage you to read their policies before using them.
We may also share information if we are required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that sharing is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our community.
5. How we use cookies
Cookies are small files that a website can store on your device. This site uses only essential cookies, and only for administrators:
- An authentication cookie that keeps an administrator signed in to the private content area.
- A small preference cookie that remembers when a visitor has acknowledged our cookie notice, so we don't show it again.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any third-party fingerprinting tools. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; doing so will not prevent you from reading any public page on this site.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it. Contact submissions are retained until we resolve your request and, where appropriate, for a reasonable follow-up period afterward. Administrator accounts are removed when someone leaves our team. You may ask us to delete information about you at any time.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email savinggraceadvocacy@gmail.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line, and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the information you share with us, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere on this site, database row-level security, and administrator-only access to personally identifying information. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, but we take the responsibility seriously.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will note it clearly on the homepage or contact you directly when appropriate.
